Dimensions of the cup shown:

Width: 17 cm
Depth: 13 cm

As each cup is built and shaped entirely by hand, the dimensions may vary noticeably from one cup to another.

Stoneware

Handmade from the beginning
The Veil Cup is built entirely by hand from fine stoneware clay.

Each cup is slowly formed and carefully shaped. The delicate, veil-like edge is refined by hand and finished through detailed sanding. Finally, the cup is coloured and glazed.

The result is a smooth and tactile surface. The clay has a soft, chalky white tone, which is lighter and more refined than the white clay used for many of the decorative objects.

One of a kind
The cup you receive is not the exact one shown in the photographs. It will be made in the same style, but variations in shape, size, surface and glaze will occur.

Each cup is unique.

Use
The Veil Cup is made for everyday use and may be used as a coffee cup, tea cup or drinking cup.

Wabi-sabi
Small, subtle dark spots may appear in the white clay or glaze. Slight variations, irregularities and traces of the handmade process are a natural part of each cup and are not considered flaws. As every cup is built and shaped entirely by hand, it will not have the uniform perfection of a mass-produced object. These small differences are part of what makes each cup unique.

Cleaning
Hand washing is recommended. Do not place the cup in the dishwasher.

Clean it gently with warm water and a mild washing-up liquid.
