LEAF WORKSHOP – 2-day workshop, 4.5 hours per day
EXCLUSIVE CERAMICS COURSE WITH ONLY 5 PARTICIPANTS
In this course you will learn the technique behind my “leaf” sculptures. You will create a small white sculptural vase in paper porcelain.
You will learn the following:

How the vase is built using the coil method / plate technique

How the top leaves are shaped and slowly worked until they become completely paper-thin
-
How to attach additional leaves to the sides of the sculpture
As there are only 5 participants, there is full focus and plenty of individual guidance. I prepare the base and foot of the vase before you arrive, so you can reach the finish line during the workshop.
The course is suitable for both experienced potters and people with absolutely no prior experience. It is not aimed at professional potters.
It is my experience that even beginners with very little or no experience can reach the finish line extremely well – sometimes even better than experienced potters. Most participants have never worked with clay before.
Please note that the course teaches the technique and construction method only. You should expect that refining the technique afterwards will require many additional hours of practice.
In terms of value, the sculpture you make corresponds to a price of up to 1,200 EUR when made by me. Please see the gallery with works made by previous participants.
The course therefore does not only provide new ceramic knowledge – you also take home a beautiful porcelain sculpture.
Clay and firing are included in the price.
From January 1st, new EU regulations require me to add 25% VAT to all workshops. This is not my choice, but a legal requirement.
495 EUR (incl. 25% VAT) is paid upon registration.
500 DKK (75 EUR) for materials is paid on site.
Total price: 570 EUR (approx. 4,250 DKK).
Coffee and water will be provided during the course.
PS: Around 90% of participants attend alone. We have a great atmosphere, and everyone talks to everyone.

I reserve the right to cancel and refund the course if there are too few participants (this has never happened).

Cancellation must be made no later than 14 days before the course start date. Later cancellations are non-refundable, regardless of the reason. I will always try to help find a replacement participant, but cannot guarantee this. You are welcome to find someone to take your place – just notify me of the new participant.

Please bring your own apron or clothes that can get dirty – you will get very dirty!

Lunch can be brought by you, or we can go out and get a sandwich during the lunch break. I will assist you.

Fired sculptures must be collected on the date specified in the course description, between 17:00–18:00. Participants must bring their own packaging. If you cannot collect at the specified time, collection can only take place when the next group collects their sculptures.

International shipping of fired pieces: 210 EUR outside Europe / 150 EUR within Europe, per piece.

Arrival: I am usually very busy preparing everything before the workshop begins. You can therefore enter the studio 3–5 minutes before the start time. There are several coffee shops within 50 meters of the workshop if you arrive early.

COMBINED WORKSHOPS
If you wish to participate in both the Wave (1 day) and Leaf (2 days) workshops as part of a private tutoring format over three consecutive days, a combined discount will be applied to the total price.
