LEAF WORKSHOP - 2 day workshop, 4,5 hours pr. day
 

 

EXCLUSIVE CERAMICS COURSE WITH ONLY 5 PARTICIPANTS ​

 

In the course you will learn the technique behind my "leaf" sculptures. You will make a small white sculpture vase in paper porcelain.

 

You will learn the following:

 

• How the vase is built up via the coil method/plate technique

• How the top leaves are shaped and slowly worked until they are completely paper thin

• How to "attach" more leaves to the side of the sculpture ​

 

As there are only 5 participants, there is full focus and plenty of time for you as a participant. ​I have spent time making the base and foot of the vase BEFORE you arrive, so you can get to the finish line. ​

 

The course is aimed at both experienced, beginners and others creatively interested. It is not aimed at professional potters.

 

It is my experience that even beginners with very little or no experience can reach the finish line very well! Sometimes far better than experienced. It really depends on whether you have a flair for modelling/sculpting and have a good feel for shaping with your fingers.

 

Please note that the course only teaches you the technique and construction method. You should expect that it will subsequently require many hours of work to refine your technique. ​

 

In terms of size, the sculpture you make represents a value of up to DKK 8,000 when it is made by me. See gallery with works by course participants. ​ The course therefore does not "just" give you new knowledge about ceramic technique, you also get a beautiful porcelain sculpture to take home. ​ Clay and firing are included in the price.

 

DKK 395 EURO is paid upon registration, DKK 600 (80 EURO) for materials is paid on site, a total of 475 EURO (aprox 3.500 DKK)

 

There will be coffee, sparkling water, refreshments and snacks during the course. ​

 

PS. 90% come alone without a friend. We have a good time, everyone talks to everyone.

Conditions:

 

• I reserve the right to cancel and refund courses if there are too few participants. If you wish to unregister from the course, this must be done no later than 14 days before the course takes place. In case of later cancellation, the amount will not be refunded, regardless of the reason for cancellation. I will always try to help get someone else to take your place, but cannot guarantee it. You also have the right to find another participant yourself to participate in your place. Just notify about new participant.

• Bring your own apron or clothes that can withstand getting dirty -  you will get very dirty! I

• f lunch is desired, this must be brought by you

• The fired sculpture must be collected on the date specified in the course description. It's always at between 17 - 18 o'clock. The student must bring their own packaging. Individual agreements for picking up the sculpture can not be made. If you cannot collect at the specified time, you can only collect the sculpture when the next group of students picks up their sculptures. Only course participants who come from far away, e.g. Abroad, Jutland or Bornholm, can make special arrangements for picking up the sculpture. 

• Arrival: You can enter the workshop 10 minutes before start, at the earliest.
